MedScopeHub ("we", "us", "our") is a clinical decision support platform providing free medical calculators for healthcare professionals in Africa and South Asia. Our website is accessible at medscopehub.com and associated domains.

📋 Data we collect

Data you enter into calculators

All calculator inputs (patient weight, age, clinical values) are processed entirely within your browser. This data is never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never logged. When you close or refresh the page, all input data is permanently gone.

Data collected automatically

When you visit MedScopeHub, our web hosting provider may automatically record standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used solely for server security and performance monitoring and is not linked to any personal identity.

Data you provide voluntarily

If you contact us via email (e.g. to report a dosing concern), we collect your email address and the content of your message. This is used only to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with third parties.

🍪 Cookies & tracking

MedScopeHub itself does not set cookies for tracking or personalisation purposes. However, third-party services we use (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may set cookies in your browser. These are described below.

📊 Analytics

MedScopeHub may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which tools are most used, page load times, geographic distribution). Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data. We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. We do not use Google Analytics to collect personally identifiable information.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

MedScopeHub uses the following third-party services that may process data when you use our site:

  • Google Fonts — font files served from Google servers (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log requests. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense — advertising platform. See Google's advertising privacy terms above.
  • Google Analytics — usage analytics. Anonymised and opt-out available.
  • Web hosting provider — standard server logs as described above.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party for marketing purposes.

⚖️ Your rights (GDPR / NDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are in Nigeria, you have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019. These rights include:

🔒 Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any data we hold. Our site is served over HTTPS. Calculator data never leaves your browser. Email communications are handled via standard secure email providers.

👶 Children

MedScopeHub is intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals only. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
